Fairhaven Memorial Park and Mortuary History

A Part of Orange County’s History and Yours

At a time when Orange County was considered “new” a visionary by the name of Oliver Halsell saw the need for a beautiful, modern memorial park to serve the growing population in and around Santa Ana. On August 28, 1911, he and a few other local businessmen created Fairhaven Memorial Park. From it’s birth, Fairhaven has stood apart with its lush towering trees, its deep, emerald green lawns and its beautiful, stately buildings.

Some of the features that distinguish Fairhaven are:

  • 73 Acres of beautiful grounds with more than 1,000 trees originating from around the world.
  • Caring mortuary services by a professional staff.
  • Exclusive Family Estates
  • The Finest Cremation Center in Orange County
  • On Site Crematory
  • Florist Quality Designer Service

Mission Statement

Through personalized service, we will remain the first choice of Orange County families.

Grief Support

We see so many people come to visit their loved ones at Fairhaven, and recognized the need for a grief support group. With the aid of a minister from Odyssey Hospice, Reverend Gary Tucker, Fairhaven holds a grief support group once a month. Whether you have been served by Fairhaven or not, we welcome you to join us once a month. The meetings are typically held on the second Thursday of the month at 2:00 in the afternoon. We encourage people to attend more than one grief support group, so we have a list of other groups for you to attend. Many of our grief support participants attend years after the death of their loved ones, recognizing the need for support and also, assisting others who are beginning the grieving process.
